Bryan Covington, tech geek, designer, teacher, and general information junkie.

Bryan, Kenna and Jack at the beach
I’d like to say I’m a native North Carolinian, but I was born in Staten Island, NY, so technically I’m not even though I’ve been here since I was six months old. I grew up in Charlotte, NC, which I still think of as home in some ways, but I’ve been in Raleigh for more than a decade.
I started using computers when I was 9, a Vic-20 with less RAM than most wristwatches. I’ve been a tech junkie ever since. I got my undergraduate degree in Industrial Design in 1996 from NC State. However, I was seduced by the dot com boom and went into web design. I pursued that in the corporate world, from Fortune 500 banks to small startups, to my own business for nearly fifteen years.
In 2008 I went back to my alma mater to get a masters degree in Industrial Design and finished up in December of 2010.
I’ve been teaching web and graphic design since 2005. I’m currently teaching at Living Arts College/School of Communication Arts, in Raleigh, NC.
